Content Warnings for Only Mostly Dead
This is a book about death. It refers to death, both natural and unexpected of various primary and secondary characters throughout the series.
The first chapter deals specifically with Ember’s death. She is a terminal cancer patient who has chosen medical assistance in dying, which is legal in Canada where this book is set.
Additional deaths throughout the book include the death of several children in a school bus crash, and a man who falls from a roof in a workplace accident.

The ghost of a recently dead man tries to hit his living wife. Kelly stops him.

Winston is a 28-year-old golden retriever being kept alive by haunting his owner. They are both killed in the confrontation with Viola, but we see them both again, happy and safe (but dead) in Afterlife.
The final battle with Viola gets a little gorey. Bloody wounds, dead ghosts getting deader.

Welcome to book 3 of Afterlife Incorporated. If you’ve made it this far, you pretty much know what you’re getting into. References to death and Ember’s cancer treatments continue. Other content warnings include:
Ember suffers from a kind of body dysmorphia throughout much of the book. She does not feel at home in the body she’s occupying.
In chapter three, Ember considers suicide as a way of getting back to Afterlife. She does not follow through with her plan.
